Ubuntu 10.10 codename “Maverick Meerkat” will be released soon. The final release of Ubuntu 10.10 scheduled to be release in October 2010. And now Ubuntu ask your participation to submit your creative designs and idea for countdown banner, to continue Ubuntu tradition.
Some of the professional designers already submit their creative design, as you can see at Ubuntu Maverick countdown banner page. The winner will have their design show on Ubuntu home page and will encourage the other Ubuntu website to show the countdown banners on their website. Please see the guidelines below to participate.
The banners should be:
- width: 180px
- height: 150px
- optimized png, gif or jpg, or
- iframe containing interactive content (using static html, css, js and images – no PHP)
- no flash – must work perfectly with only free software
